Bob Morton, Chief Operating Officer of Massachusetts Human Resource Fund, Inc. (MHRF), is responsible for managing program activities that carry out the mission of the organization. This includes developing and overseeing community economic development projects and the associated administrative MHRF tasks. Prior to joining MHRF in 2024 Bob was a renewable energy system designer for Revision Energy, a leading provider of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems, battery storage, heat pumps, and electric vehicle chargers. He held similar positions for RGS Energy and Green Energy Alternatives beginning in 2007. Bob consulted for software and electronic test equipment companies from 2003-2006. He founded and managed a client relationship management software company, Technology Development from 1985-1988 which became SaleMaker Corporation, a pioneering developer of relational database software for sales and marketing through 2002. He spent his early career in fundraising, environmental equipment and computer peripheral sales as well as a founder of Buoy Technology, an innovative company that designed, built and installed ocean data acquisition and navigation buoys. Mr. Morton earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Yale University in 1976 and an MBA from Northeastern in 1983 with a concentration in business marketing and sales. He coached youth sports for many years and served in board level management roles for multiple sports. He led a number of construction projects as a volunteer including a new baseball/softball field and a football field/track press box building. He is a native of the North Shore, growing up in Salem and currently resides in Peabody. He is married with 3 children and has one grandchild.
